Welcoming Nicholas to Jones Obenchain

Welcoming Nicholas to Jones Obenchain

June 16, 2022

We're delighted to announce that law student Nicholas Gerstauer will be joining Jones Obenchain for the summer as a law clerk!

Nick is a South Bend native with a sincere affection for his hometown. His ancestors have lived and worked in St. Joseph County for nearly 200 years, and he intends to carry on the tradition with his growing family. Along with his wife, Kateri, and newborn son, Albert, Nick is thrilled to return home from his legal studies to contribute to Jones Obenchain’s rich history of providing legal services to the South Bend community.

After graduating from Marian High School and the University of Notre Dame, Nick went on to study with the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. He now studies law at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and will graduate in 2023. In the meantime, Nick is currently a representative for his law school’s chapter of the Federalist Society, an active member of the choir at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and the chancellor of the St. Joseph Valley Society, a local Catholic charity that he has cofounded with other local, socially-engaged professionals. He enjoys discussing theology and politics, but nothing is more rewarding to him than spending time with his wife and son. Nick intends to practice law in South Bend as soon as he can, and he is looking forward to the opportunity to advocate for the interests of his local community however he is able.

Please join us in welcoming Nick to Jones Obenchain!
